Yearbook Signing Party
This year's yearbook signing party/dance was held on Friday, September 11th after the home football game.   All yearbooks will be handed out to everyone who has paid for one.

Veterans Day Assembly
Every year on Veteran's Day we host a veteran's day assembly featuring veterans from our area, and honoring all veterans. Last year we joined a program called Operation Recognition. This programs allows veterans that left to fight in the wars before they could graduate to receive their diplomas. A slide show is also shown. This even is held on Tuesday, November 11th.

Food Drive
Every year at Clearwater Valley High School we host a food drive. All donations of food and non-perishable items go to the town food bank, where it is then distributed to those in need. A competitive attitude towards the food drive is encouraged, and this usually increases the amount of food collected. Prizes are offered to the class that collects the most food, such as a pizza or ice cream party. This past year we teamed up with a rivalry school, turning it into a competition not only between classes but also between schools. Every day the food is counted for each class and results are announced over the intercom. At the end of the week final totals are taken and winners are announced.

Christmas Show
On the last day of the food drive classes are let out at 1:30 for the annual Christmas show. The Christmas show consists of students performing skits, scenes, songs, etc.

Alumni Games
This year is the 30th annual Alumni games. The older men's game (1997 and older) will begin at 5:00 p.m.; it will be odd years vs. even graduating years. the girl's game will follow at 6:15 and the younger men (1998 and younger ) will begin at 7:30 p.m. Price of admission will be #3.00 for students and $4.00 for adults. There will be a $2.00 entry fee for each player. There will be a 3 point contest at halftime of the girls game. All proceeds will benefit the Clearwater Valley High School Girls Basketball Program. Girls Basketball will have concession. Odd years wear dark colors. Even years wear light colors.

Shakespeare's Birthday
Shakespeare's birthday in April is an event that, believe it or not, CV students look forward to with great anticipation! With the help of the Idaho Shakespeare Festival, bold teachers, and creative students, Shakespeare is well remembered.  Shakesperience (traveling performers from the Festival) often present their versions of Shakespeare's plays and students decorate cakes in honor of the Bard. CV thanks the Upper Clearwater Arts and Communities Creating Connection for funding Shakespearience.

Mother Daughter Tea
The Mother-Daughter Tea is a special event that we sponsor to honor the mothers, grandmothers, and other special guests who help our students throughout their lives. It was originated in 1941 by Mrs. Evelyn Yenney and takes place in the gym the day before prom so that the beautiful decorations can be enjoyed by all attending. There are usually about 150-220 in attendance, and the students have professional photographs.

Junior Senior Bbq
The Junior Senior BBQ is an annual ritual at CVHS. It is usually held the week that the seniors are released from school. The Juniors put on a BBQ and games for the Seniors. The games are competitive and everyone has a lot of fun. The Senior's and Junior's parents are also invited and it is held at CVHS after school, usually on a Friday.

Class Night
Class night is traditionally held the night before the senior graduation to recognize accomplishments of all students, particularly graduating seniors. Awards are presented to any students with special honors. Seniors awards are also presented and scholarship winners are announced. Teachers and faculty presenting awards often speak on behalf of students. Class night traditionally is ended with the class night slide show, featuring pictures of all the students and special events that have happened throughout the year. Student council is also recognized.
